X9 for importers and distributors: specifications, compliance and after-sales
The Smilescooter X9 is a long-range foldable electric scooter built by Smiles Tech Industrial Limited at our own plant in Shenzhen, China, in operation since 2006. It uses a 500 to 550 W rated rear-drive motor with an 850 to 1100 W peak, a removable 36 V or 48 V lithium battery with 10.4 to 20.8 Ah options, and delivers 45 to 100 km of range depending on the battery configuration. Load rating is 100 kg and net weight is 18 to 20 kg. The frame is one-piece welded aluminium-magnesium alloy with no exposed wiring and the battery enclosed in the chassis. Tyres are 10-inch anti-puncture vacuum, braking is front and rear disc with E-ABS, and water resistance is IP54.
The X9 runs 25 to 40 km/h by default and we configure it down to the EU 25 km/h limit on request before shipment. It is supplied with the same documentation set as the rest of our range: CE, EN 17128, EMC, RoHS, UN 38.3 and MSDS.
For a model designed around counter-level repair, see the D01, where the battery, rear wheel and front motor each come off with a one-click quick release. A full side-by-side comparison of the D01, X9 and X8 is on our models comparison page.
Is the X9 available for OEM or private label?
Yes. Colour, branding and packaging can be specified. The minimum order is one 20GP container, flexible, and production lead time is quoted on request. Terms are FOB Shenzhen and third-party pre-shipment inspection is accepted.
Can the battery be replaced without opening the frame?
Yes. The X9 battery is a removable pack and can be swapped at the counter without tools. For scooters where the rear wheel and motor also need counter-level replacement, the D01 is the model to look at.
Is the X9 suitable for rental or subscription fleets?
The one-piece welded alloy frame with the battery enclosed in the chassis reduces wiring damage in fleet use, and the 45 to 100 km range covers longer routes. For fleets that service in-house, the D01 offers faster part replacement.
What documentation is provided for EU import?
The EU Declaration of Conformity, the EN 17128 test report from an accredited laboratory, the UN 38.3 battery report, the EMC report and the MSDS. Documents are issued against the production revision you order and are available on request before shipment.
Where is the X9 made?
At our own factory in Shenzhen, China. Smiles Tech Industrial Limited has built electric scooters there under its own brand and for OEM customers since 2006.
